Paris Bookstores

Our one-bedroom apartment on the Quai des Grands Augustins in St. Germain des Pres was an ideal location to visit museums, galleries and bookstores; steps away, on the Rue Dauphine, were a number of bookstores, which typically - depending on the weather - set up tables of books on the sidewalk.

We walked a little further, then turned right onto Rue de Buci and spent time browsing at Taschen.

A a few days later we took a 10-minute walk from our apartment to Shakespeare and Company, a Left Bank legend facing Notre Dame.   (There were no sidewalk tables due to an afternoon rain.)

Doug found a book to purchase and, of course, we said "oui" when asked at check out if we wanted the book stamped.
