In 1969 Doug and his family moved from Toronto into their new home in Orillia, which is 80 miles north of Toronto.
This 30" x 42" self-portrait in oils was one of the first things he did in his spacious new third-floor studio; it still hangs in the main floor of the 3-story home overlooking Lake Couchiching.
