Doug's 2 Noah's Ark Cartoons

News coverage concerning a life-size replica of Noah's Ark opening to the public July 7, 2016 in Williamstown, Kentucky made me immediately think of 2 Noah's Ark cartoons that Doug rendered for Playboy.

The ark - located halfway between Cincinnati, Ohio and Lexington, Kentucky on I-75 - is 510 feet long, 85 feet wide and 51 feet high.

"I don't know, but judging from all the couples on board, I think it's some kind of sex cruise." - published on p. 143 in the March 2005 issue of Playboy and reproduced in The Art of Doug Sneyd on p. 190.  (The 248-page hardcover book was published by Dark Horse Books in July 2011.)

"Thank you for sailing with Noah. . . . Thank you for sailing with Noah. . . . Thank you for . . . " - was published on p. 60 in Sex and Other Late-Night Laughs, published by Playboy Press in 1990.  The 8 x 11 special edition collection was edited by Michelle Urry, Cartoon Editor.
