Champs-Elysees Visit

Even though Doug and I have visited Paris a number of times, we always bring along our DK travel guide.  I can't believe my luck in photographing so many Paris icons in one photo during an afternoon visit to the Musee Jacquemart-Andre, once a private mansion and now listed as one of the Top 10 museums in Paris.

We were surprised to see posters in the Champs-Elysees subway publicizing the Paris Comics Expo - featured guests were: Doug, Frank Cho, Joe Benitez and Humberto Ramos.  David Finch was a guest artist at the Urban Comics booth.

The museum was once the home of Paris banker Edouard Andre and his artist wife Nelie Jacquemart; the museum houses their personal art collection and features works by Boucher, Botticelli, Rembrandt and Fragonard.

After lunch at the museum, we visited the special exhibition of Victorian English painters Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema, Sir Frederic Leighton, Edward Burne-Jones and Albert Moore.
