Happy Holidays!

One of Doug's first freelance jobs was creating textbook covers and illustrations for W.J. Gage, Ltd., a publisher that would later become a steady client.  He also produced illustrations for other Canadian publishers and illustrated features for several magazines, including Toronto Star Weekly, Chatelaine and Toronto Life.

Later, he expanded his work to include single-panel hard news cartoons, which first appeared in the Toronto Star, Canada's largest newspaper.  Doug Sneyd was also syndicated across North America by the Toronto Star Syndicate.

We hope you enjoy the humor of this holiday political cartoon!

In the years since Doug's first cartoon (September 1964) was published in Playboy, he's submitted thousands of cartoon roughs to the magazine.  Of course, not all can be selected for final art and ultimate publication; however, we hope you'll enjoy the humor in these unpublished holiday gags.
