Doug Donates Artwork to Auction Benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project

Doug donated 2 limited edition prints and a pencil/ink sketch to the Saturday evening, May 19 Live Art & Auction Event benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.  He volunteered to work during the auction so bidders could watch him do a classic Sneyd bunny profile sketch.

Before the live auction started, event coordinator Tamyra Earehart, Retired Air Force/Wounded Warrior Alumni, talked with Doug in the hotel lounge.

The silent auction featured a good selection of original artwork and limited edition prints.

The live auction was held in the lounge at the Aloft Las Colinas.

Event organizers hoped to raise $2-3,000.00 for the Wounded Warrior Project; thanks to a great effort by the evening's auctioneer (far right), a little over $11,000 was raised.

Painter Jim Rowell Brings Doug Sample of the Mermaid Statue Licensed by CS Moore Studio

Doug has licensed CS Moore Studio to produce and distribute the first-ever limited edition collectible statue based on his unpublished work.  Model painter Jim Rowell visited the Dallas Comic Con and brought Doug a counter sample from the factory; Clayburn Moore sculpted Doug's mermaid and Rowell painted the master.

The Design and Development Dept. at the factory works these statues up to check on the paint process and to see if they're getting the look right.

Stop by the CS Moore Studio booth during the July 11-15 San Diego Comic Con for information on ordering Doug's collectible mermaid statue.
