McCormick Place: Setting Up for C2E2 Thursday, April 15

Doug and I checked into our hotel Tuesday afternoon, April 13, so we'd have Wednesday for sightseeing in Chicago before heading over to McCormick Place to set up in Artist Alley on Thursday.

Wednesday morning we took a 90-minute architectural river cruise; the weather was beautiful!  Afterwards, we visited the Art Institute and saw the Matisse exhibit and the 68 Thorne Miniature Rooms.

On our way back to the hotel at 410 North Dearborn, we spent about an hour at Millennium Park, an award-winning center for art, music, architecture and landscape design.  Developing the 24.5-acre site began in 1997 when Mayor Richard M. Daley directed his staff to develop plans for a new music venue to be built over the Illinois Central Railroad tracks and surface parking lots.

Chicago's a GREAT city!

We got to McCormick Place around noon on Thursday to set up since C2E2 opened Friday at 10 a.m. for professionals, press, etc.  The convention was Open to the Public from 1-7 p.m.
